INEOS Grenadier ceramic coating on the Gold Coast

Grenadiers get used the way they were designed to be used: beaches, bush tracks and long touring runs. The paint is tougher than most, but salt air and gravel don't care, and there's a lot of hardware, seals and cladding to work around properly.
What INEOS Grenadier paint is actually like
Durable, commercial-grade finish with solid film build. Solid colours dominate and they respond well to correction, though the flat slab panels show any unevenness.

Gravel and stone chipping
Flat vertical front panels and the bar area take a beating on unsealed roads.
Salt air and beach driving
Coastal and sand work leaves salt in every seam and around exposed fixings.
Bush pinstriping
Narrow tracks leave fine branch scratches down both flanks and along the roof line.
Accessory and rack rub
Roof racks, ladders, snorkels and jerry can holders all wear at the mounting points.
Exposed hardware and seals
Bolt heads, hinges and rubber seals trap grime and need hand work, not machine work.
How we prep a INEOS Grenadier before coating
Preparation is the job. The coating is the last hour of it.

Full inspection under LED and swirl-finder lighting, with paint depth readings recorded panel by panel.

Two-bucket hand wash, wheels and arches degreased, badges and shuts cleaned out.

Chemical iron and industrial fallout removal, then a clay treatment to lift bonded contamination.

Tape-up of trim, rubbers and sensitive edges before any machine work.

Full salt and mineral decontamination through seams, arches and around exposed fixings before any polishing.

Machine correction on the large flat panels, with hand work around hardware, hinges and cladding edges.

Cladding, bar work and accessory mounting points cleaned and coated as part of the job.

Panel wipe with a coating-safe solvent to strip polishing oils and reveal the true finish.

Fireball ceramic coating applied by hand, levelled panel by panel under controlled lighting.

IR / controlled cure, then a final inspection and handover pack with aftercare instructions.
