Roof bars and load carrying leave rub marks and paint transfer along the roof edges.
Sap from hinterland parking
Tree sap etches quickly in Queensland heat and is a regular problem on these cars.
How we prep a Subaru before coating
Preparation is the job. The coating is the last hour of it.

Full inspection under LED and swirl-finder lighting, with paint depth readings recorded panel by panel.

Two-bucket hand wash, wheels and arches degreased, badges and shuts cleaned out.

Chemical iron and industrial fallout removal, then a clay treatment to lift bonded contamination.

Tape-up of trim, rubbers and sensitive edges before any machine work.

Sap and bitumen removed with a dedicated solvent before clay — scrubbing baked contamination is what causes most of the damage.

Roof rail contact points hand-polished and coated separately.

Panel wipe with a coating-safe solvent to strip polishing oils and reveal the true finish.

Fireball ceramic coating applied by hand, levelled panel by panel under controlled lighting.

IR / controlled cure, then a final inspection and handover pack with aftercare instructions.
