What Zeekr paint is actually like
Good film build with a medium-soft clear coat and a deep, high-gloss finish. The darker metallics hold gloss well but reveal swirls under direct sun.
What we see most on Zeekrs
Delivery and transport marring
Fresh imports commonly arrive with wrap scuffs and pre-delivery wash swirls.
Dark metallic swirling
The deep blues and blacks show wash marks the moment the car dries in the sun.
Large glass and panoramic roofs
Big glazed areas load the cabin with heat and pick up water spotting quickly.
Gloss black trim
Pillars, mirror caps and badges scratch far more easily than the painted panels.
How we prep a Zeekr before coating
Preparation is the job. The coating is the last hour of it.

Full inspection under LED and swirl-finder lighting, with paint depth readings recorded panel by panel.

Two-bucket hand wash, wheels and arches degreased, badges and shuts cleaned out.

Chemical iron and industrial fallout removal, then a clay treatment to lift bonded contamination.

Tape-up of trim, rubbers and sensitive edges before any machine work.

Delivery inspection with defect mapping before any correction plan is agreed.

Light to medium correction matched to the clear coat, with gloss black trim polished and coated separately.

Panel wipe with a coating-safe solvent to strip polishing oils and reveal the true finish.

Fireball ceramic coating applied by hand, levelled panel by panel under controlled lighting.

IR / controlled cure, then a final inspection and handover pack with aftercare instructions.
